October blows, who will take people like Maruti Celerio, Mahindra Kuv100 and Hyundai Grand I10 Nios, are expected to go for sale in mid-October.
Tata punch is based on Alfa architecture, which supports Altroz too.
Punch will be an entry level SUV offer from the company, sitting under Nexon in a portfolio.
The engine option is expected to 1.2 liter gasoline, natural aspiration with 5-speed manual options and AMT gearbox.
Punch design instructions are similar to Harrier and Nexon.
While the Flush Grille was inspired by Nexon, Chucky lamp treatment came from the Harrier family.
Punch has begun to arrive at the dealer and a few spy shots suggest a black seat, steering audio control and 7-inch touch screen.
