MUMBAI: The state government has declared a settlement package for those losses caused by cyclone Tauktae over the traces of the aid provided through the Nisarg cyclone this past year. This past year, the Thackeray authorities had increased the per hectare settlement under the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) standards by almost 80 percent. The payment entitled under the NDRF standards was compensated by the center, the staying borne from the state authorities. Accordingly reimbursement for horticultural property was increased to Rs 50000 from Rs 25,000. Additionally, compensation to get a totally damaged house has been raised from Rs 95,000 to 1.5 lakh plus to get a partly damage home Rs 15000 upwards from Rs 6000. “Though the damage because of Tauktae isn’t quite as far as what was documented following Nisarg cyclone, but we are contemplating exactly the identical reimbursement scale now also,”stated a senior officer. Tauktae: Compensation Bundle Declared
