For GM now, more than 20% of the workforce is involved in their electric vehicles and autonomous vehicle programs,” said CEO TCS Rajesh Gopinathan in recent income calls.
TCS supports GM in its global vehicle program with engineering design services.
More than 1,300 of 2,000 employees at the GM Center have been transferred to TCS, including a team that focuses on propulsion systems, vehicle engineering, development, testing, creative design, and special projects.
Gopinathan said TCS cooperated with the German ZF technology technology company in the area including Adas (Advanced Driver Help System) 2.5 Development, and to overcome significant chipset deficiencies, which is one of the biggest challenges undertaken by the automotive industry.
“Our team works with ZF to collect some analytics and procurement solutions that maximize contextual knowledge and data in the ZF system, and combine them with partner ecosystems that they have to identify fine, and to optimize product choices and portfolios, to maximize value and Customer-cricity in their ecosystem, “he said.
