Udhagamandalam: Throughout the initial tranche of this fiscal year 2021-22, the Tea Board India (south west ) has increased an quantity of Rs 109.7 lakh towards subsidiaries covering six tea estates/factories.
In an effort to enhance the standard of tea at the hills, improve the creation, quality and productivity of produced tea, the Tea Board (south west ), situated in Coonoor, was providing a variety of subsidies into the tea drinkers.
The board also promotes the creation of orthodox teas to ensure remunerative price to farmers.
While beneath the Plantation Development Scheme (Big Grower) that a sum of Rs 5.8 lakh was spread to a beneficiary for uprooting tea crops and replanting new saplings along with also the rest of the amount of Rs 103.9 lakh was given to five malevolent manufacturing units.TNN
