Lucknow: Chasing the target to vaccinate 15.25 crore people in the state, the government reached a new record on Wednesday.
The total number of doses managed above violates the nine-crore mark which is the highest in this country.
In accordance with the Cowin portal, more than nine doses of covid vaccine have been managed above.
Overall, 7.48 crore people have taken at least one dose, while 1.53 crores are fully vaccinated.
An official statement said that the Covid vaccine was the best line of defense against the pandemic virus along with the appropriate Covid behavior.
ICMR’s assessment has indicated that one vaccine dose can prevent the risk of death due to a 96% pandemic infection.
The Cowin portal shows that it rises far before other countries in terms of the total expanded dose.
In Maharashtra, the nearest competitor, the total number of dosages given is 6.99 crores.
Lucknow leads with more than 32 doses of lakh, while Chitrakoot ranks the last with a vaccination of 4 lakh.
