Salem: Damaging temporary marking by class X students to get entrance tickets in class XI has landed officials of the Ministry of Education and Middle School teachers in Edappadi in deep issues.
The state government recently ordered to consider 50% of class X signs, 20% of class XI signs and 30% of the XII class internal sign to distribute final values for class XII students.
“We learned that students had failed in English subjects in the examination of the class X which was held in the 2018-19 academic year,” an official from the Ministry of Education said.
According to officers, the boy failed in English subjects by securing 31 marks of 100 in the Council X exam As determined by the state government, the teachers found that students failed English but were accepted in class XI.
They immediately told the Chief Educational Officer (CEO) T Ganesh Moory, which directed officials for the investigation.
When contacted by Toi, the CEO said that he had notified the Directorate’s office to remove the name of the student from the class XI and XII examination list.
“We will not issue a certificate to students,” he said.
He said that he would take the necessary actions against school teachers who failed to pay attention to marker disorders.
The CEO said because of a continuous vacation because of the Pandemic Covid-19 in 2020 and this year, the teachers failed to check markers.
