Bhubaneswar: Member of the University Teacher Association, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Bhubaneswar, continuing their Dharna on Sundays seeking the fulfillment of their 18 points characters including reform in direct recruitment and career progress schemes (CAS).
Protests entered the 84th day on Sundays.
Teachers and Oat’s scientists, their Constituent College, Research Center and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKS) throughout the Dharna Stage in front of their respective institutes and centers after working hours (from 17:30 to 8:00).
The teacher on the main campus was sitting in Dharna in front of the Office of the Chancellor of Oatu.
President Sanjay Kumar Association Mohanty said his institution followed the Guidelines for the University Grant (UGC) commission for direct recruitment and promotion (CAS) for teachers / scientists / specialist subject matter (SMS) KVKS, Professor, and Dean.

“The UGC guidelines are suitable for us and we are promoted in time.
But the ICAR guidelines are not until the sign in this case.
Scientists who work in KVK face difficulties to meet the ICAR criteria for CAS,” Mohanty said.
He said they had begun this movement since November 1 last year.
“We will continue this Dharna until the University fulfills our demands.
This is our request to get this facility for our teachers and scientists.
All amendments made in the ICAR guidelines since 2019 must be withdrawn.
We have met Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal to resolve our problems, “He added.
Association members also demanded regularization of subject matter specialists and other officers posted on KVK under Ouat.
They also demanded the protection of payments and the benefits of CAS for KVK scientists who have joined the regular stream or in the KVK system.
