Greater Noida: A 21-year-old young man, who is popularly called “44” for numbers on the T-shirts he often wore, has been arrested for allegedly stalking a 23-year-old teacher in his area.
The young man, a small actor, allegedly threatened to circulate the teacher’s video on social media if he refused to survive with him.
However, he did not tell the woman’s family the video was what he was talking about.
Named Saurabh by his parents, the young man had been to prison in connection with a violation of peace cases under the part of the CRPC 151.
The female brother said the defendant had followed the teacher for the past year and had proposed his marriage several times.
The young man and woman came from a different community.
“He followed him every time he left the house.
He claimed he had several videos about him and circulated them among his friends if he didn’t marry him,” he added.
On Wednesday, when the woman’s parents went to Bhangel Market to buy some food ingredients, he broke into his house.
“He grabbed my sister’s hand and behaved badly with him.
When he slapped him, he threw his death threat.
He also threw several stones at the main gate and fled when my sister raised an alarm,” said the female sister.
Sources say people in the area will call the defendant “44” because the t-shirts he wears regularly has a number printed on it.
“He will abuse everyone in the family.
Because he holds power in the area, our neighbors don’t mind all this,” said the brother.
Bhubhnesh Kumar Sharma, the Ecotech 3 police station, said, “His friends called him 44 because of his shirt.
He was quite popular.” Saurabh has been booked under Section 452 (Trespass House after preparation for injury, attack or wrong), 354 (violence or violence Criminal to women with intention to be angry, 504 (intentional insults, so as to provide provocations for anyone breaking up public peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) IPC.
