Written by news2in

Gurgaon: After the State Government decided to take control of making an appointment of meeting at the state university, teaching and not teaching employees of universities affiliated with the university has opposed the move, filling it “autonomy violations”.
The teacher also threatens to challenge steps in court and launch protests and suspend work if they are not rolled back.
In the last letter to the Deputy Chancellor of the State University, the Main Secretary (Higher Education) Haryana directed universities to send requests to the Public Service Commission Haryana (HPSC) to appoint Group B and to the Staff Election Commission Haryana (HSSC) for the appointment of Group C posts and D.
In a last letter addressed to representatives of the State University Chancellor, Main Secretary (Higher Education) Haryana directed the change of the request to the Public Service Commission Haryana (HPSC) to appoint Group B and to the Haryana Staff Election Commission (HSSC) for Appointment of Group C and D Shipments both HSPC and HSSC each will conduct an examination and a list of selected candidates will be sent to all universities for appointments.
Haryana Federation of Universities and Colleges Chairman of Teacher Organization Vikas Siwach said, “We strongly condemn the decision and demand university authorities not to carry any agenda items in the next executive board meeting related to the appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff and promises of HPSC / HSSC representative Chancellor by the State Government.
It contradicts university autonomy and his mandate to manage his staff recruitment and management.
“Teaching staff and non-teaching have also explained that if government orders are currently implemented, they will launch protests and suspend work to bring all college operations high jammed.
“If the government does not roll back the announcement, we will be forced to protest and bring all the functions of the college to traffic jams.
We will also take all the democratic ways that might be set for us to oppose the decision,” said Siwach.
Trade unions have been called notice of violations of orders passed by the Supreme Court who have given the rights of the university to appoint staff without the interference of the state government.
“Some of the Supreme Court orders have stated that the University Executive Board is the highest decision-making agency, which recruits and appoints teaching and non-teaching staff in accordance with the law,” said a senior professor at Maharshi Dairand University.
“This direction has been repeated from time to time by AICTE, UGC and the United States.”
