NEW DELHI: The validity of this Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) qualifying certifications was expanded from seven years to life with all the effect from 2011, Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal”Nishank” declared on Thursday.
“The government has chosen to extend the validity interval of their Teachers Eligibility Test accredited certifications from seven years into life using a more moderate effect from 2011,” the ministry said in a declaration.

Pokhriyal further explained this is going to be a positive measure to improve employment opportunities for your candidates aspiring to make a career in the teaching area.
Teachers Eligibility Test is among those critical qualifications for a individual to qualify for appointment as a teacher in universities.
The Guidelines dated February 11, 2011, of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), laid down which TET could be run from the State Government and also the validity of this TET Certificate has been seven years from the date of departure TET.
