Ghaziabad: After school reopened on August 23, the Department of Basic Education teams will spread in all district blocks and collect data about girls who have left the government school since the plague of Pandemi Covid last year.

Junior class (6 to 8) is set to continue from August 23 while the primary class (1 to 5) will be reopened from 1.

According to the sources of the department, around 40% of students attend online classes.

However, officials clarified that these numbers did not imply that students remaining had come out of school, and the numbers would only be known after the survey.
The Basics of Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Brij Bhushan Choudhary said, “The survey will focus on dropouts with a special focus on girls.
Five teams have been formed for each of the four blocks (Rajapur, Loni, Bhojpur and Murdnagar) and for the city area.
Each team will compile data from every school below their area and find out the reasons not to come to school.
“Chaudhary accepted that it would be a challenge for them to restore students who dropped out of school during the locking and closing of the next school.
“We will take all possible steps to take them back to school,” he added.
According to teachers, during school closure, online attendance runs out of time.
Many students lack education due to lack of resources.
