Bengaluru: CP Gurnani, CEO and MD Tech Mahindra, received Rs 22 Crore with a salary in the last fiscal, down from RS 33.2 Crore in fiscal before that, according to the company’s latest annual report.
Gurnani compensation consists of RS 2.7 Crore with a salary, around Rs 9 Crore in Perquisites, and RS 1.7 Crore in the Commission.
He also qualified for trade debt by 1.8 crore.
It is not clear what the remaining salary component, although it will most likely be a benefit of stock compensation.
Part of the decline was because the company’s top management had decided in the first quarter of last year not to take their bonus / variables as part of an effort to deal with the financial impact of the pandemic.
The company is in a silent period and refuses to provide details.
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh received the last 49 crore rs, while the Chief Executive TCS Rajesh Gopinathan rose 54% to more than Rs 20 Crore.
Significant differences often arise from year to year due to changes in shares vesting schedules.
