CHENNAI: A 45-year-old techie working at a leading company near Tambaram ended her life after a domestic dispute with her husband at their house in Kolathur on Saturday.
Police said Anitha and Vinodkumar were married and they stayed in Kolathur with their son and daughter.
They lived in the first floor of the house while Vinodhkumar’s parents lived in the ground floor.
Police, based on initial inquiries, said the couple fought on Saturday due to a family feud and that Vinodkumar left the house during the fight.
Soon after, Anitha hung herself in her room.
The children, who were with their grandparents, knocked on Anitha’s room door and alerted their grandparents as she didn’t respond.
The elderly couple through a window saw Anitha hanging and alerted police.
Police sent the body to Stanley GH for autopsy.
