Pune: Police Wakad on Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old man on charges of deceiving a web developer of Rs 2.
5Laxh with a promise to help him, his wife and brother-in-law secured work on a prominent multinational job.

Techie (30) not only filed a case but also helped the police to arrest the suspect, Prince Ronak Kotecha from Dange Chowk.
“Our investigation revealed that Kotecha also deceived two more young people with a job promise in the CBI.
We produced it before the Magisterial Court, which ordered his detention in police custody until July 10,” Ashok Jagtap, Police Sub-Inspector Wakad.
The complainant told Tii, “Kotecha said, he would help my wife and I secured a job in the software office in Russia.” Kotecha told her official officials will interview them through a call.
“We received a call and also confirmation letter from the email address in Russia,” The Techie said.
The suspect then told him that he had to pay a company.
“I transferred Rs 2.5 lakh to him,” said the complainant.
“I became suspicious when he began to demand more money.
I then decided to approach the police,” The Techie said.
