Technology-based solutions are launched to help victims of cyber crime

Ranchi: Foundation Cyber Peace, an organization based in Jharkhand, has joined hands with the National Women’s Commission (NCW) to help those in trouble due to cyber intimidation, cyber stalkers and financial fraud under the ‘We Think Digital’ program.
This program is the Pan-Indian initiative launched from Jharkhand.
The center of online resources will function nationally.
This center can be accessed at www.digitalshakti.org.
“We start from Ranchi and now operate from Delhi, Hyderabad, etc.
We have a special focus on Jharkhand for this program because of the increasing number of cyber crime cases reported from the country,” said Vineet Kumar, founder and director, basic cyber peace.
The resource center has launched the Helpline WhatsApp (9570000066) number to reach women in trouble.
“We overcome complaints by helping victims.

We work with technology companies to ensure that these cases are resolved,” Kumar said .
“The majority of crime occurs in the cyber space that targets women.
We also launch several assessments so that anyone who reports to us can be connected to the counselor and then provides care and support to the victims.
The Resource Center will have many materials on cyber security and online safety.
The final version of the site will be ready on January 31.
“This program was launched as Digital Shakti in 2018 with the aim of increasing awareness among women throughout the country on the digital front.
Version 3 of the program was launched in March at Ladakh.
