Technology Progress Can Make India Superpower: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

Pune: India has the potential to become a superpower if to make technological progress, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said here on Friday.
He spoke to MTech students, PhD scholars and researchers at the Advanced Technology Institute (DIAT), a research organization and development of the University of Defense which was considered (DRDO), after inaugurating several newly built infrastructure at the Institute campus in Khadakwasla.
Underpointing the latest success producing 1 lakh hand grenade by a private company in Nagpur, Singh said, “The company produced a large number of grenades in five months and managed to convey it to the Indian army.
India costs are RS 3400.
The same grenade has been exported to Indonesia as long as More than Rs 7000.
In short, I only want to assert that if we make progress in technology, India has the potential to become an economic superpower.
“Singh reaffirmed that the ministry had made a conscious effort to budget allocations and collaborated undergraduate research, private player, startup and the armed forces to make progress in technology.
“The Ministry has launched” IDX (innovation for defense excellence) for Fauji “to achieve this goal and has also made budget provisions worth Rs 1000 Crore.
In addition, he has allocated Rs 500 Crore to encourage startup to conduct research in defense technology and aerospace , “he added.
He appreciated Diat researchers to innovate nine patents in Covid research in the past two years.
“The private industry has benefited from their research work.
I am happy with their achievements,” he added.
