Ahmedabad: A 42-year-old man who taught at the Thaltej branch of the famous training institution, has been arrested for raping a female student several times between 2016 and 2019.
The defendant was identified as Resident Thaltej Mandk Dixit, had been shot in the phone and used it to extort it to produce his demands.
He also allegedly threatened to post videos online if the victim, now 21, agreed to marry anyone.
The 42-year-old was a science teacher and motivational speaker at Allen Institute, a center that offered training for Jee and Neet candidates, in 2016 when he first met the victim.
“Being a motivational speaker, he will talk about his life and philosophy to his students.
The victim, who was only 16 years old, was impressed by him.
He will give extra time after the class.
After one of their classes in August 2016, he took him to the place Friends in Thaltej where he raped him for the first time, “said an officer from the Vastrapur police station.
He allegedly recorded a video about violations and used it to squeeze and raped it in various places in Thaltej and Bodakdev.
“Recently, the victim told him that his family had received a marriage proposal for him.
It did not go down well with defendants who threatened to post videos online if he approved the match,” the police said.
Fear, the 21-year-old child went to depression and remained confined in his room.
Seeing changes in his behavior, his parents and relatives become worried.
When they asked him what was wrong, he gathered courage and told him about his trials.
The elders pushed him to approach the police.
The Vastrapur police filed a complaint of rape along with allegations under the child’s protection on the acts of sexual violations and arrested the defendant on Wednesday.
