Ballia: A 16-year-old girl allegedly raped by her neighbors in a village under the Area of the Rasra Kotwali police station here, police said on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old man broke into his home on July 18 when he was alone and committed a crime.
The defendant also issued a threat to kill him in case he reported this problem to anyone, the Deputy Inspector of Rasra Police Shiv Narain Vaish said.
He then told his family members when they returned home and a case registered in Mondy based on the girl’s complaint.
FIR was registered under the parts of the Criminal Code and the protection of children from the sexual law (Pocso) and the youth accused of being arrested on Tuesday from the West Gate stood in the city.
The police have sent the girl to the district hospital for medical examinations, DSP added.
