Surat: A teen was rescued from beneath the debris following a part of a dilapidated home fell in Golwad place on Sunday pm after heavy rains.
The back part of a four-storey construction in Amdavadi road in Golwad, shrunk over time, collapsed.
Fire officials stated the building was a wooden structure assembled around 40 decades back.
After the family alive in the first floor of this building heard the noise, they hurried out, however 13-year-old Dev Rana got trapped beneath the debris.
“When our team entered the construction, the boy had been stuck at the rubble and just his legs and face were visible.
We eliminated the debris and then brought out the boy,” stated in-charge main fire officer B Pareek.
Following Dev was summoned, he had been sent to hospital because he’d suffered minor injuries.
“Family had a few golden ornaments and other essential things in the debris.
Therefore, we let a girl household member to go indoors, followed closely by our team,” Pareek stated.
