Jhansi: Nine people hacked the death of a 14-year-old girl in Mauranipur Tehsil from the district on Friday while his father survived the attack after escaping from the place.
The report said that the incident took place in Dhaura Village under the jurisdiction of Mauraipur police where the victim, Maya, along with his father Bablooo Prajapati had gone to the river to wash clothes.
Once there, they found some people with whom Bablooo had a monetary dispute.
Seeing Babooo, the defendant started a fight with him.
They took the ax brought by Bablooo and attacked him.
While Bablooo ran for the rest of his life, the defendant attacked his daughter Maya, killed him in place and escaped.
The police arrived at the place of receiving information and sent the body to postmortem examination and launched an investigation.
Senior officials, including SSP Jhansi, Shivhari Meena arrived at the place.
He said nine people were involved in the crime.
From nine, seven have been identified by Babooo.
The defendant hacked the girl with the Bablooo ax carrying.
The police have launched a massive hunt for accused.
A fir has been submitted against seven accused accused and two unknown, including two women, under Section 147, 148, 149, 307, 302 of the IPC.
The defendant has been identified as Salim, Kuraisha, Furkhan, Majid, Rafiq, Dharampal, and Ramjeet, he added.
