Patna: Opposition leader in the State Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, on Wednesday wrote a letter to Minister Nith Kumar, urged him to seek a promise with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to meet him with the delegation of all parties to sort the flood of problems –fullated in Bihar.
Tejashwi, in his letter, stated that Bihar faced flooding and drought every year, which led to the loss of human life and wealth.
Reminding the CM project that connects the river announced in 2011, which should connect Bagmati and Budhi Gandak, Budhi Gandak and Ganga-Bagmati-Ganga, Tejashwi said the center in 2019 had given permission to connect only Kosi and Mechi.
“But unfortunately, even this project has not been implemented,” he added.
RJD leaders demand that canal and dam construction must be announced as a national project so that limited state resources can be used in other development work.
Taking Jibe in the center and the state government, Tejashwi said Bihar was still suffering even though the government was a double machine.
“They have 39 of 40 parliamentarians from Bihar.
But forget special status to the country, even special packages have not been given to Bihar.
In the past four years, Bihar has not even received the right funds for relief measures to flooding, while the country with a population Lower and damage gets more financial assistance from the center.

This was a second time in the past recently that Tejashwi urged CM Nitish to meet Modi PM.
In August, Nitish had led the delegation of all parties to meet PM with a demand for caste census throughout the country.
