Telangana: 3 tests More + Ve for Omicron, Tally at 44

Hyderabad: While two passengers who have returned from non-risk countries for the last two days are tested positive for the new Omicron variant of Covid-19 on Sundays, other cases are detected between positive patient contacts.
This is the second example of positive contact testing in the state.
With three new cases, the total number of Omicron cases in a state has so far touched 44.
From 44, 10 patients fully recovered and sent back two days ago.
Although it is still too early to achieve a clear understanding of the new variant, officials say that they are banks on the RT-PCR test to see if the patient tests negative after 14 days.
“Because all 10 asymptomatics, it’s too early to say anything about viruses.
However, there is no lung involvement in any case,” said the source of the State Health Department.
As many as 11,493 passengers have landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, including 248 which landed on Sunday.
Two positively tested passengers in the RT-PCR test conducted at the airport and their samples have been sent for genome sequencing.
Meanwhile, Telangana saw 109 new cases of Covid-19 cases and one death.
3,167 reports are still awaited.
The number of active cases in this country reaches 3.417.
190 patients were declared recovered on Saturday.
GHMC (GHMC) recorded 69 cases on Saturday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to seven cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 10 and Sanga Reddy recorded a new case.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Hanamkonda in Warangal with seven new cases recorded the highest number of cases outside the GHMC limit.
