Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 623 new Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths on Wednesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,803.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.47.229 and the death toll was 3,814.
The number of active detention zones in the country amounted to 29.
Apart from two detention zones in Hyderabad, Jagiyal, and Karimnagar have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 594 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking the total number of patients restored to 6,34,612.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stood at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reached 98.05 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Wednesday, 1,12,796 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.24 crores and has reached 6.02 lakh sample testing per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 77 new cases on Wednesday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 33 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 25 and Sanga Reddy recorded 8 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam see more cases.
