Hyderabad: The Telangana state pollution control body (TSPCB) has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that 881 encroachment has been identified in 11 water bodies in Ameenpur.
Even Indiramma houses built by the state are on the lake that violates the limit.
Notifications are issued for 780 structures under Section 23 of Water Telangana, Land Act and Trees (Walta).
TSPCB has informed that the remaining notification cannot be removed because the owner cannot be identified.
“Ameenpur Municipality has issued a notification to 637 shrimp identified under the rules of city & state planning.
So far, 259 replies received from encroachment, submit that they have lived in these houses for the past 20 years with the permission needed,” said PCB in the answer.
PCB prepares a factory of actions along with other stakeholders, including HMDA, to eliminate encroachment and recovery of the Amenpur Water Agency.
Notifications will be served and encroachment removed.
It was decided to build pillars along the boundaries of the FTL of the Water Agency to prevent further encroachment.
And, Rs 64 Lakh has been approved for that purpose, he said.
