Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 340 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,891.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.57,716 and the death toll was 3,872.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
359 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.47,953.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate reaches 98.51% now.
So far, 79.9% of the overall cases in this country have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have symptomatic.
On Monday, 75,102 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample test of 2.45 crores and has reached 6.59 lakh testing samples per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 72 cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 19 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 10 and Sanga Reddy recorded 2 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and the edges, Karimnagar with 42 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
