Hyderabad: When the problem of unemployment and notification of work is debated in the state, seeing the state unemployment rate has revealed that Telangana is one of six major countries with an overall unemployment rate of 7 percent before the pandemic regarding the hard economy.
According to the data submitted by the center in parliament recently, the Periodic Labor Force (PLF) has shown that the unemployment rate in the country in 2019-20 in rural areas was 3.9 percent, 6.9 percent in urban areas and 4 , 8 percent as a whole for people aged 15 years and over.
Telangana has a rural unemployment rate of 5.2 percent, the city unemployment rate is 10.2 percent and the overall unemployment rate is 7 percent among people aged 15 years and over.
The only country with an overall unemployment rate of more than 7 percent is Kerala (10 percent), Delhi (8.6 percent), Assam (7.9 percent), Punjab (7.3 percent) and Uttarakhand (7.1 percent) .
Strangely, the unemployment rate in neighboring Andhra Pradesh was 4.7 percent during the same period.
As expected, the level of urban work is higher than rural unemployment in all states.
However, according to the central government’s quarterly employment survey, the unemployment rate in the state reached 25 percent in the first few months of 2020-21 but quickly dropped back to 10 percent in the following months.
According to the source of the state government, the current level of work is normal and almost certainly will increase later this year when Covid-19 is expected to provide significant assistance and the economy will begin to take speed.
Meanwhile, the State Union Minister for Labor and the work of Rameshwar Teli told Rajya Sabha in the written answer that the Union Government did not have a proposal for obligatory registration of graduates in employment exchanges throughout the country.
This is entirely voluntary to register in every country’s job exchange to receive work-related services, he said.
