Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao met Prime Minster Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and asked him to sanction the Indian Institute of Management in Hyderabad and Indian Information Technology Institute in Karimnagar.
He also rose for the industrial corridor between Hyderabad and Nagpur on the lines of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
The proposed corridor covers 585 km and helps exploit the development of Nagpur as the center of multi-nodal international cargo.
Looking for IIIIT and IIM, KCR said the center was sanctioned IIIit under the PPP model.
Because there are nit in Warangal, Karimnagar is most suitable for IIIIT.
“The state government will provide land and the share of funding under the PPP model,” he said.
Emphasizing the need for IIM in Hyderabad, KCR said Telangana did not get the best B-School in the past 10 years because Indian business schools are located in Hyderabad.
“ISB is a private non-profit selfifinance institution.
The state government will provide land for IIM at the place of Hyderabad University because there are more than 2,000 hectares of land,” KCR said.
Encouraging industrial corridors, he added, “The corridor has a high-speed train link and 44 Expressway Also asked the university of tribes according to the Reorganization Act of Andhra Pradesh, 2014.
The government has notified 200 hectares near Warangal to establish a university, he said.
The main minister also requested additional funds under PM Gram Sadak Yojana to increase road connectivity in the Telangana area, in addition to sanction work in remote areas affected by left wing extremism.
