Hyderabad: The couple of milk vendors who were on their way home died after the car crashed into their motorcycle at Gandipet on Monday.
Car driver, C Sanjeeva, allegedly drunk when he hit a bicycle coming in the wrong direction.
Police Narsingi said Durgam Raju (37) and Monika (28) were on their way to Kokapet from Gandipet when the accident occurred.
“The couple had several jobs at a local bank and returned when the accident occurred,” said Narsingi Inspector V Shiva Kumar to Ti.
The couple who suffered a serious head injury shifted to the hospital where they breathed his last breath.
The police found Sanjeeva in drunk conditions at the crash site.
The defendant was immediately detained.
The police said the concentration of alcohol Sanjeeva was 148 mg / 100 ml (normal level was 30 mg alcohol per 100 ml of blood).
The police said that the victims, in an effort to take a shortcut, drove on the wrong side to Kokapet and that their bicycle was completely damaged in an accident on the road.
The case below the IPC section of negligence which caused death was ordered to the defendant.
