Hyderabad: At least eight dogs were found with their limbs tied and hit with sticks in the gated community in Ameenpur.
The incident, which lasted earlier this week, was revealed after a video showing several men who caught these dogs by hitting them with a stick and binding with a binding cable to Sunday.
According to Witness Eyes Deepti Chauhan, who shared videos on social media, the gated community population employs several ‘pig catchers’ to move dogs.
“I live in the same community and know that some residents oppose wild dogs who live in their gated community.
While we can solve the problem in a much better way, some of them hire pig catchers who hit dogs with sticks , corner them and tie their limbs and their mouths with binding cables, “Chauhan said, who managed to save two dogs before they were caught.
“All of these dogs were caught abandoned in an isolated place near ORR.
We have been going there the next day and found only one dog who was still afraid of people,” said a Ram Dragon Raghu, an animal activist, who filed a complaint against People responsible.
G Dasharath, the gated community president said, “I was not in town when this happened and was surprised when I heard about the incident the next day.
After the residents raised the problem about the dogs, we contacted GHMC to make it sterilized.” Inspector Ameenpur Srinivas Reddy said, “We have received complaints.
Inorted investigations.”
