Hyderabad: The Telangana and Excise prohibition department has intensified the probe into the recent confiscation of drugs worth Rs 2 Crore in the Malkajgiri Medchal district nearby.
Officials carried out raids in defendants and other places in Chintal, Bavajipalli and Nagarchurnool.
Raids followed the accused questions that had been arrested in connection with this case.
Officials seized Mephedrone from three different places in the Medchal district of Malkajiriri on October 23 and arrested four accused.
Excise officials have seized smuggled 4.92 kg and cars.
The defendant told the researchers that Mephedrone was intended to be supplied to students and other people.
The defendant who was arrested was identified as Pavan Reddy, REDDY Kanna, REDDY and Ramakrishna Good Mahender.
Another accusation – Hanumantha Reddy – then gave up before the police.
Excise officials are still looking for main accusations, Suresh Reddy.
He allegedly played a key role in manufacturing and supplied a banned substance.
Acting on the tip-off, the detective of the excise team and the ban had stormed the flat in the new Balajinagar at Kukatpally on October 23.
They seized 5 GM Mephedrone and held back Pavan Reddy.
Based on information obtained during its interrogation, excise officials invaded the lodge at the Bonguloor gate and arrested Kanna Reddy.
An official said that 921 GM from Mephedrone was confiscated from him.
He told the researchers that the substance was supplied by Ramakrishna Good from Bavajipally Village in the Nagarurnai District.
Following this, another excise team went to Bavajipally and arrested Goud.
About 4 kg Mephedrone was confiscated from him.
He also revealed the names of Hanumantha Reddy and Suresh Reddy as suppliers.
Hanumantha Reddy then gave up before the police.
He was previously arrested by the Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI) two years ago.
Excise officials on November 5 took three accused accused of resistant to further interrogation.
The drug was allegedly brought from Bengaluru, Goa and Mumbai and was supplied to several people in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana.
Meanwhile, the police raided the house in Yapral in the Malkajgiri Medchal District, where marijuana was being cultivated.
The police confiscated cannabis plants raised in seven large pots and arrested a man.
