Telangana Govt released Rs 73 Crore for Handloom Weavers

Hyderabad: The state government released Rs 73.5 Crore on Tuesday for the implementation of a welfare scheme for handloom weavers and additional workers.
Industry and Textile Minister KT Rama Rao said the government took steps to ensure the development of the institutional and structural guide sector.
The minister said the WRE steps were taken to ensure that workers received a monthly income of Rs 15,000.
At a review meeting with the handloom department official here, the minister said the income of handloom and additional workers had risen thanks to government initiatives.
He also reviewed a scheme such as Telangana Handloom Weavers Grift Fund Saving and Security, Pavala Vaddi, Chenetha Mitra and Cash Credit Support.
The government took steps to ensure the development of the institutional and structural sector of the handloom, said the industry and textile minister KT Rama Rao.
