Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Friday refused to direct the state government to impose fresh restrictions, but told administration to ensure that central guidelines in Covid-19 and new variants were implemented.
A chairman of Judge Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice N Tamaramji, who heard a number of direct petitions, turned into critical of the Prabhakar Chikkudu advisor who insisted on the imposition of new restrictions.
Citing comments on the State Public Health Director, the bench said that more restrictions would have a devastating effect on the livelihood and taking adequate precautions such as masks and sanititis were the only way to move forward.
The director also said that people were free to go to the theater, Bench said.
When the advice shows that the bar and pub have been allowed to keep open until late at night on new year’s eve and search for sidewalks, the bench refused to take out such orders.
The bench reminded him that the state had completed the administration of the first dose of vaccines to 100% of people and the second dose became a significant population.
The bench, however, directs authority to ensure that the club, pub and bar in the state only allow them to be fully vaccinated.
While the staff in these places must be tested and only that is negative for viruses allowed to serve, Bench said.
For the advice that more detention zones must be made, the bench said that the idea behind the detention zone was to protect the area with high cases and prevent it from spreading to other regions.
“When there is no area like that with high cases, then the question of declaring any area as a detention zone does not appear.
Such restrictions will come when abnormal things.
But the situation in Telangana is now normal,” Bench said.
The bench instructs the state to obey the command of the Center released from time to time and also makes all trying to curb the possibility of the spread of omicron.
It also directs that stating to submit a compliance report in court on January 4th on the implementation of Indian directions.
