Hyderabad: Telangana is set for Big Dhamaka in front of Diwali when the Indian Election Commission on Tuesday announced the date for the long-awaited Huzurabad election.
Polling for Bypoll assembly will be held on October 30.
With TRS and BJP locked in a bitter battle, the election was seen as a semifinal for the general election of 2023.
ECI has decided to use an electronic voting machine (EVMS) and VVPats.
Calculations will be taken on November 2 and the results will be announced on the same day.
Notification for Bypoll will be issued on October 1.
The last date for archiving nominations is October 8 and the poll process will be completed on November 5, ECI said in its schedule.
Chief Telangana Election Officer Shashank Goel told TII that the model behavior model immediately applies in the district Karimnagar where the election is located.
“ECI has published Covid-19 guidelines that must be strictly followed,” he said.
All staff involved with election work, candidate contests and voting agents must multiply according to the ECI rules, they emphasize.
Goel also said that the number of EVMS and VVPat adequately available.
“All steps will be taken to ensure smooth and peaceful polls,” he said.
Bypoll in Huzurabad was mentioned as a semi-final before the assembly selection of 2023.
The separator’s bettor had become prestigious for the powerful TRS and BJP, which did not leave the stone missed to win the poll.
Bypoll must be said after the resignation of Eatala Rajender in June this year after he was expelled from the Country Cabinet by the Chair of the K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Chandrasekhar on charges of land sequence.
Eatala then joins BJP.
He will enter the Fray Bypoll on a BJP ticket.
Eatala has since launched a diamatra to connect with voters, while playing a ‘Atma Gauravam’ card (self-esteem).
Trs, who has announced the nomination of Gellu Srinivas Yadav, a BC leader, pursuing every courage to defeat Eatala.
KCr, who wants to see the back of Eatala by all means, launched the pilot scheme Dalit Bandhu in Huzurabad to win the Dalit selector which is quite large in the electoral district.
Several ministers, including the Minister of Lonus KCR and Finance Minister T Harish Rao, has been camping in Huzurabad to campaign for Srinivas Yadav.
Analysts said victories for TRS would further strengthen KCR’s hand.
“If Eatala appears, then it will open the way to Surge Safron ahead of 2023 polls,” said an analyst.
Eatala has won a seat four times in a row since 2009.
In 2019, he won the majority of 43,719 votes against the rival of Congress P Kaushik Reddy, who had changed and joined TRS.
