Hyderabad: Minister of Welfare of Health and the Harish Rao family said on Thursday that the state government was in the process of improving ambulance services in the state.
He spoke at the launch of the ambulance provided by Hyundai under the company’s social responsibility initiative (CSR).
Speaking at the event held at the location of the Health Directorate in Koti, the minister said that ambulance services were needed in the current situation.
Hyundai was praised for providing seven ambulances at a cost of around Rs 1.41 Crore.
“This ambulance will be used at the teaching hospital.
There are a total of 429 ambulances (emergency response ambulance 108) in this country today.
We take steps to ensure 108 better services by removing old vehicles and replacing them with new ones,” said Rao.
“We will build a new apotbad in Hyderabad which is bigger and the minister’s chairman will put the foundation stone for the construction of their respective hospitals,” added the minister.
