Hyderabad: When the State Government made an effort to prepare the possibility of a surge in the Covid-19 case after the new Omicron variant detected in this country, the number of Covid-19 beds has increased to 55,442 (including private beds and government hospitals in the state ).
This is an increase of almost 50 percent.
“We have recorded a number of extra beds as Covid-19 beds although currently used for regular emergency cases because the Covid-19 bed requires a lot of space.
After the number of Covid-19 cases increases, all beds intended will also be used,” said an official from a company hospital.
According to the Ministry of Health, there were a total of 3,897 patients under 1,500 treated in hospitals and the rest recovered at home.
“Although the number of cases can increase and omicron cases will also be recorded faster or slower, the good thing is that these cases cannot be severe.
This means that most patients will not need hospitalization but patients with comorbidity and immunity Comprormed will require hospitalization, “said a health official.
