Telangana is ready to face the third wave, said Minister

HYDERABAD: Health Minister T Harish Rao has set specific goals to improve medical infra in the state apart from tackling the third wave Covid-19.
He said Sribala Vadlapatla that medical colleges, chairs, hospital beds, etc., will witness a sea change in the next 18 months.
Why Covid quote-19 testing is so low in the state? Why not be made tighter restrictions? It is wrong to say that we do a low number of daily tests.
We run about 35,000 tests even when caseloads were not around 200 per day.
When caseloads are low, the number of first and second contact will be limited.
We are trying to balance the situation in the state.
We are already facing criticism that we impose and collect fines from people for not wearing a mask.
What is the preparation for the next wave? There are concerns that cases and deaths during the second wave were under-reported.We anticipate the surge in February.
We have reported the case properly.
At the same time, we must avoid instilling unnecessary fear in people.
Till now, we are ready to face the third wave.
If it happens and as global data shows that currently is not harmful Omicron variants such as Delta variant.
Everything is ready – from a hospital bed to a cure for doses of vaccine.
In the Twin Cities, nearly 1,600 additional 19th Covid care beds will be available soon.
How to plan the Minister KCR plans to make the head of Hyderabad and Telangana care super-specialty hub? As announced, the preparations for the four super-specialty hospitals in the city took place.
Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) has been formed and will be improved.
Three super-specialty hospitals other Gaddiannaram, Erragadda and Alwal will be established.
Each will have 1,000 beds at a cost of around Rs 1,000-Rs 1,200 crore.
A project of 2,000-bed health city will be built in Warangal.
All specialty hospitals will be under TIMS, which will be the nodal hospital.
Along with this, NIMS will also be improved on a large scale.
Despite the high rankings in health indicators, countries that out-of-pocket health expenditures are high.
How do you reduce it? Since the formation of Telangana, there has been a significant increase in the government’s focus on the health sector.
We spent Rs 400 crore on equipment that is not used properly and even simple repairs are being put off.
Telangana Diagnostics, which provides free testing for the poor, will expand to 13 more districts, bringing the total to 33, in addition to 20 already operating in the city.
We are seriously considering expanding dawakhanas basti all 144 cities in the state.
In addition 258 existing dawakhanas basti, rural dawakhanas 4745 will be made operational.
Given that, how do you manage a large number of health workers, especially doctors, are needed in every dawakhanas. We have a plan that is very coordinated.
Eight new medical colleges will be established in the state over the next 18 months with each college cost Rs 600 crore and offer 150 seats each.
More PG seats will also be available in Siddipet, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar college.
We are now strictly with doctors in government hospitals and medical colleges, they should be in place doing the rounds and preparing operations and submit weekly reports to the ministry.
It was found that doctors were kept busy with their private practice and these steps will ensure that poor people have better access to free medical care.
