Hyderabad: The annual revenue view of the sale of liquor shows Telangana doubling income in the range of only four years since he obtained state.
However, the numbers also show that monthly income from liquor has fallen by RS 300Crore-Rs 400 years in the past year due to economic slowdown and affordable price increases.
When the country is formed, the sales volume of annual liquor is Rs 10,863 Crore.
Total volume increases every year until 2017-18, when it drops to RS 9,639 Crore.
However, the following year (2018-19), total sales of liquor soared to Rs 20,859 Crore.
This is the first time the country scored more than RS 20,000 income from the sale of liquor.
At present, despite the slowdown in Covid-19 is induced in the sale of liquor, the state is expected to generate revenue of Rs 2,700 Crore per month.
But income has floated around Rs 2,300 Crores per Month.
The state government wants to increase sales and income by reducing prices.
Sources in the government said there were many steps proposed by the state government to increase sales.
Statistics show that the sales volume crosses the sign of Rs 2,000 Crore per month for the first time in October 2017 (Rs 2,977 Crore).
Since then, until September 2019-20, sales cross the sign several times, but not consistently.
In April 2019-20, the total sales volume reached Rs 1,854 Crore, which gradually rose to the RS 2,430 in September of that year.
Since then, the country has earned above RS 2,000 Crore almost every month, except a little during locking in 2020.
