Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 389 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 6,276.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood 6.55,732 and the death toll was at 3,862.

Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
420 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,45,594.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.45 percent now.
So far, 79.9 percent of the overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 88,347 samples were tested for the novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.41 Crore and has reached 6.47 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 70 cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajiriri adjacent to 27 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 24 and Sanga Reddy recorded 3 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 36 new cases recorded on Sunday while Narayanpet and Warangal urban saw more cases.
