Hyderabad: The State Government must not cut value added tax (VAT) in diesel and gasoline in the near future even though it shouted for a reduction after being cut off on both the fuel in front of the Gods.
According to high government sources, the state believes that the VAT is not too high compared to many other states that impose extra Cess too.
Telangana does not have CESS.
The state requires 35% of VAT on gasoline and 27% of VAT on Diesel.
Also, the government must apply several welfare initiatives, such as Dalit Bandhu, who need a large number of state revenues themselves.
The country produced almost 8,000 crore rs to rs 10,000 crore from annual gasoline and diesel sales, which formed a large portion of their own income after liquor.
After cutting the central assignment, the price of fuel also dropped in the city.
Diesel prices have come down to RS 94 from Rs 107.
Previous gasoline, although still above 100-mark, now at Rs 108 from the previous price of Rs 114.
High fuel prices are also a topic that just ended.
Huzurabad Bypoll won by BJP Eatala Rajender.
During the campaign, there were exchanges that were heated in the media between Eatala and Finance Minister T Helish Rao for prices and taxes charged by the state and central government.
On Friday, the State BJP unit demanded that the TRS government also follow the state government ruled by BJP and reduce VAT on fuel.
Price cuts, however, do not have the general public, by holding back that they are still very high.
“First of all, the price is astronomical and not in harmony at international prices.
What is the point of dropping it now, I will be happy only when prices continue to fall,” K Sekhar Gupta, said an IT professional.
