Hyderabad: More than 50 lakh people consume alcohol in Telangana, while men in the state of drinking more than their colleagues in the country, according to two different surveys.
The nineteen percent of the country’s population consumed liquor (50.40 lakh right), according to the alcohol consumption survey available with the Ministry of Justice and Social Empowerment of the United States.
However, the number of tipper in the country is more national average, 17.3%.
In neighboring Andhra Pradesh, more than 65 lakh (65.09.000) people, 17.3% of the total population, consuming alcohol.
No wonder the graph of the sale of liquor has never seen a downward trend in two Telugu countries.
The survey revealed that 17.3% of the country’s population consumed alcohol.
In other words, there are around 15.5 Crore Tipler in this country.
Only a handful of major countries that record more than the average country.
Apart from AP and Telangana, Chhattisgarh (43.5%), Uttar Pradesh (29.5%), Punjab (25.2%), Delhi (25%) Uttarakhand (23.2%), Goa (28%), Madhya Pradesh (21.4%), Odisha (18.9%), West Bengal (18.2%) was recorded above the average consumption of state liquor.
Among major countries, Bihar has the lowest level of alcohol consumption with only 1% of the population consuming alcohol.
In addition to two Telugu countries, the rest of the southern states have fewer consumers liquor.
15.5% of the population of Tamil Nadu drinks, while Kerala (13.5%) and Karnataka (7.
2%) are less than the national average.
The survey has taken people in the age group of 18-75 years with consideration.
Interestingly, the latest National Family Health Survey – 5 shows that men in Telangana drink more alcohol than their colleagues in any country in the country.
About 43.3% of men in Telangana over 15 years of drinking alcohol, while the northeastern state of Sikkim stood in second place with 41.1%.
