Hyderabad: Special Session Court for the MPS / MLA Court on Wednesday Sentenced to Senior TRS MLA and former Minister of Nagender and his driver for up to six months in prison for attacking a man in the Banjara Hills police station in 2013.
Danam and the driver was also fined Rs 1,000 each.
The court then gave them a guarantee to give the duo time to appeal against the verdict.
Nagender represents the constituency of Khairatabad in the Assembly.
It all started in 2013 as a small road anger incident.
The complainant, Subba Rao, drove his car and suddenly applied the brake to the traffic signal.
Some Danammad, who traveled by car behind Rao, was angry, out of the car and took an argument on the road.
Local police reached the place and shifted the Association of Subba Rao and Danam to the Banjara Hills police station.
Danam, who is the Minister of State, also reached the police station to support his colleagues.
According to the police, Danam then incited his driver, C Raju, to attack Rao at the police station that led to Fistuff.
“The court was punished by Danam and Raju under the 323 part of the IPC to voluntarily cause wounds,” said the Special Prosecutor G Narayana, to Ti.
Danam accused number 2 in this matter.
The same court, in the past, Congress Comnvicted MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, BJP MLA Raja Singh and several other politicians in various cases, but alerted penalties gave them time to submit a verdict.
