Hyderabad: In another case, Telangana police accused negligence in producing the right video evidence against public representatives before MLA & MP Special Court was revealed on Tuesday.
The CD produced as proof against Congress MP Komatiresdy Venkat Reddy turned out to be empty.
In the past, investigators of officers from Telangana police have submitted CDs as part of evidence to prove their case against MLAS and MPs.
In some cases, both storage devices have videos that are irrelevant or found empty.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and several other Congress leaders emerged before the Special Court on Tuesday to face the trial in the 2017 case registered by Police Nalgonda, where MP Bhongir and his supporters issued a motorbike rally suspected of blocking the inauguration of the fruit market, which was attended by the Minister T Harish Rao and G Jagadeesh Reddy.
The police have registered five different cases on the same problem.
CD, which was declared evidence in the accusation sheet, was taken to consider during the trial by the court on Tuesday.
But it was found that there was no file on the CD and it was empty.
The court, in the coming days, will examine the witnesses announced.
In the past, at least in two cases, which was registered with Telangana Pradesh Congress President Revanth Reddy and King Singh, the police failed to produce the right CD.
The police have leveled allegations that Revanth Reddy after he was released with a guarantee in the alleged cash-for-vote case issued a general meeting with his followers and created traffic obstruction.
However, the CD was produced by the Osmania University police in front of the court, clearly showed that there was no traffic congestion and Revanth Reddy vehicle, the police and the general public moved freely without congestion.
Visuals contrary to the charges made by the police.
Of the 141 cases taken by the court since October, 2020, except for 11 cases, the rest caused liberation and this included public representatives from all parties.
