Hyderabad: Telangana on Sunday reported 1,673 fresh coronavirus cases which pushed aggregate to 6.94,030 while the number rose to 4.042 with another fatality.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) contributed most of the new cases with 1,165, followed by Malkhal District Malkajgiri 149, said Bulletin, gave details at 5:30 p.m.
on Sunday.
Also said 330 people recovered from infection in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative amount of recovery until the date is 6.76,466.
The number of active cases jumped to 13,522, said the bulletin.
More than 48,000 samples were tested today and the total amount was examined until more than 3.01 crore.
Meanwhile, the third dose (booster dose) of the Covid-19 vaccine will be given to frontline workers, people over 60 years and health care workers, official release words.
Chief of Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said that all those who met the requirements must be vaccinated, he said.
He appealed to people not to move in groups, especially during the Sankranti Festival and tried to stay in the room and celebrate by taking precautions.
