Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 255 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Saturday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,148.
The total count of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year stood at 6.63.281 and the death toll was 3,903.
329 patients were declared recovered on Saturday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.54,230.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stood at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reached 98.63 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Saturday, 52,244 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.58 crore and has reached 6.93 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 70 cases on Saturday, while Medchal Malkajgiri adjacent to 14 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 16 and Sanga Reddy recorded 3 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and the edges, Khammam with 22 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
