Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 296 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Saturday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,324.
The total number of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year stood at 6.61,302 and the toll of death was 3,893.

Karimnagar and Yadadri have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 322 patients recovered on Saturday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,52,085.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate is 98.60 percent.
So far, 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the state have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent are symptomatic.
On Saturday, 69,833 samples were tested for Coronavirus.
Telangana has now finished testing 2.53 crore samples and has reached 6.81 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 74 cases on Saturday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 15 cases, Ranga Reddy recording 12 and Sanga Reddy recorded one case.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Nalgonda with 29 people tested positively recorded the highest number of cases.
