Telangana recorded 354 COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 354 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 6,308.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6.55,343 and the death toll was 3,861.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 16.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
427 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,45,174.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stood at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reached 98.44 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Monday, 74,634 samples were tested for the novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.40 crore samples and has reached 6.45 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation recorded 57 cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajiri neighbor recorded seven cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 17 and Sanga Reddy recorded four cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 32 new cases recorded on Sunday while Narayanpet and Warangal urban saw more cases.
