Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 704 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths on Saturday even when the number of active cases in the country decreased to 10,724.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6.31.218 and the death toll was at 3.725.
The number of active detention zones is reduced to 34.
At present, there are no active micro detention zones in Hyderabad while Mahabubabad with 10 and Bhadadri Kothagudem with 6 micro detention zones have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 917 patients were declared recovered on Saturday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.16,769.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stood at 0.59% while the recovery rate increased to 97.71%.
GHMC recorded 77 new cases on Saturday.
