Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 244 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 4,938.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.63.906 and the death toll was at 3,907.
A total of 296 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,55,061.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.66 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 50,505 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed the sample testing of 2.59 crores and has reached 6.97 lakh testing samples per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 72 cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajiriri adjacent to 9 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 18 cases recorded by 3 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar with 19 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
