Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 417 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 6,939 to the 7,000 sign for the first time since the second wave.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6,53,202 and the death toll was 3,847.
The number of active detention zones in the country was established in 19.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
569 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.42,416.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stood at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reached 98.34 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 87,230 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.35 Crore and has reached 6.33 lakh testing samples per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 84 cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajgiri adjacent recorded 21 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 23 and Sanga Reddy recorded 5 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 54 new cases recorded on Sunday while Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
