Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 657 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Tuesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,787.
The total count of cases since the beginning of last year’s pandemic, stood at 6,38,030 and the death toll was 3,766.
The number of active detention zones in this country stands at 39.
There are currently no micro detention zones in Hyderabad while Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
704 patients were declared recovered on Tuesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.24,477.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.59 percent while the recovery rate has increased to 97.87 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 1,04,578 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.07 crore samples and has reached 5.57 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 74 new cases on Tuesday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri near 27 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 31 and Sanga Reddy recorded 6 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Jagiyal, Khamman, Mancheriyal and Nalgonda saw more cases.
